Doxorubicin Hydrochloride Injection 50 Mg

Doxorubicin Hydrochloride Injection 50mg is an anti-cancer medicine. It is an anthracycline type of chemotherapy drug and belongs to antitumor antibiotic class which are made from the natural products produced by soil fungus Streptomyces. It binds to plasma proteins, and cell membranes.

The medicine can be prescribed alone or with other anti-cancer drugs.

These drugs are cell-cycle specific and act during multiple phases of cell cycle, its USP is sterile, isotonic, preservative free and the medicine is used for intravenous purpose.

• Doxorubicin Hydrochloride Injection is used to treat various cancers that affect the bladder, breast, kidneys, ovaries, thyroid, bones, nerve tissues, joints, and soft tissues.
• It is a component of multi-agent adjuvant chemotherapy treatment that treats the axillary lymph node involvement followed by resection of breast cancer in women. The medicine also treats:
• Acute: Lymphoblastic Leukemia, Myeloblastic Leukemia, Hodgkin Lymphoma, Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL)
• Metastatic: Breast cancer, Wilms’ tumor, neuroblastoma, soft tissue sarcoma, bone sarcoma, ovarian carcinoma, transitional cell bladder carcinoma, thyroid carcinoma, gastric carcinoma, bronchogenic carcinoma.

• Tell your doctor if you have medical history of heart failure during or after the treatment with the injection.
• Treatment with the injection probably has heart rhythm issues, risk of new cancers, skin damage at the site of the injection, decreases blood cell counts.
• Inform your doctor if you have low blood cells count, medical history of heart, kidneys, liver problems before you take the injection.
• The medicine is restricted to pregnant ladies, planning for pregnancy, breast feeding mothers.
• Do not skip/discontinue/overdose the medicine without your doctor’s consent.
• Take the medicine in prescribed dose at the same time every day.
