Ethoxousmide 250mg Soft Gelatine Capsules

Exthoxousmide 250mg Soft Gelatine Capsule is an anti-epileptic medication. It is an anti-convulsion succinimide and appears to be a clear orange-colored, oblong-shaped, soft gelatin capsules, imprinted “HP 532” with white ink.

Your doctor will start the dose from lower to higher range and the dosage of the medicine is based on your age, medical condition, blood levels of ethosuximide and the response of the patient to the treatment.

The medication is used alone or with other medications to prevent or control certain types of seizure (absence or petit mal seizure) by controlling the abnormal activity of the brain that occurs during seizure.

• Tell your doctor if you are allergic to the ingredients of the medicine and other allergies.
• Inform your doctor if you have any medical history of heart, lungs, kidneys, mood swings/mental disorders such as depression or psychosis.
• Restrict intake of alcohol as the medicine makes you dizzy.
• Diabetic persons have to monitor their sugar levels while taking the medicine.
• The medicine might increase the risk of fainting, falling down in adults.
• The medicine is restricted to pregnant women, planning for pregnancy, breast feeding mothers. It is used only with the doctor’s consent.
