Furazolidone suspension is an anti-trichomonal drug, an anti-infective, and antibacterial agent and an inhibitor of monoamine oxidase. It is a member of oxazolidines and belongs to nitrofuran class.

It binds bacterial DNA.

• Furazolidone Suspension treats cholera, colitis, and/or diarrhoea inside the intestinal tract caused by bacterial, giardiasis, and protozoal infections.
• The medicine kills the protozoa that are the parasites which cause different kinds of infections in the body.
